The Tampa Card Show was my local sports card show growing up. I’ve seen the show evolve a lot over the years going from a Flea Market show to upgrading its venue to a nice hotel near the airport.
Back in the day, it was a hot spot for bargain bins and raw vintage. Today it’s 90% modern with 2 great vintage dealers. Both of which are set up at the national.
I’ve picked up quite a few 1933 Goudeys from both dealers and buy cards from them almost every time I’m at the show. Their prices are fair and they work with you. Both have been dealers for many decades and can tell you many collecting stories.
While the card show may have lost its original identity, it’s still a good show and I try to attend it every few months to support the local collecting community.
It’s one of the two main Tampa Bay card shows. The other is the Bay Area Card Show.
